Important Appeal to Save Water

Dear residents,

Due to the ongoing drought and increased water consumption, the City of Remich’s water reserves have declined significantly over the past few weeks.

We therefore appeal to all residents to use only the necessary amount of drinking water with immediate effect.

How you can help:

  • Take short showers and avoid taking baths.
  • Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth.
  • Only use washing machines and dishwashers when they are fully loaded.
  • Refrain from watering lawns.
  • Water plants only in the morning or in the evening.
  • Do not fill or top up swimming pools.
  • Please do not wash your car at home and use professional car wash facilities instead.
  • Check water pipes and taps for leaks.

For this reason, only the part of the water play area at Place Kons that is supplied with rainwater will remain in operation. The misting system, which uses drinking water, will be temporarily switched off.

June 22, 24 & 26 2026 | Heat wave – Afternoon classes canceled

Dear Parents,

Due to the high temperature forecast for the upcoming days, we would like to inform you that classes at Remich Primary Schools will be suspended on the afternoon of Monday, June 22, on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 24 and on the afternoon of Friday, June 26.

Supervision at the school will be provided by the teaching staff during this period.

Please let your child’s teacher know whether your child will go home in the afternoon or stay at school.

The Maison Relais will run as usual. Please remember to notify our staff as usual if your child will not be attending the after-school care that day.
